Super Skunk pictures.

garden.GIF (8467 bytes)This is the main garden consisting of Sensi Super Skunk.  Seeds were obtained from Weedseed.  It measures 4.5" x 4.5", lighting provided by Hydrofarm 1000watt AgroSun Metal Halide.  A 16" fan was placed directly under the light with the air blowing out of the closet to control the temperature.  Plants were grown in 1 gallon nursery containers with Sunshine Professional Mix, vermiculite, perlite, and earthworm castings.
All plants were feed once a week with General Hydroponics Flora series using Lothar's nutrient guide.  In between the GH feedings I used FoxFarm Bigbloom organic fertilizer.  Three weeks before harvest I used Foxfarm exclusively and plain pH balanced water the final week.
superskunk5.GIF (9128 bytes)3 Super Skunk plants just before harvest.  Each plant produced about an ounce of dried bud, sometimes more.  Considering this was my first harvest my yield was pretty good.  My goal is about 1.5oz per plant.  I had various plants about 3-4 weeks in different stages.  I would harvest 3 plants one week and 5 or 6 plants the next.   Perpetual harvest is a lot of work.  You need to have nutrients mixed for different stages which makes for lots of work.  Next time I just want one large harvest.
ak47.GIF (10459 bytes)This is a four week old Serious Seeds AK-47 seedling.  Seeds were obtained from Weedseed.   So far I have identified two different types of AK-47s.  I have two indica dominant and two sativa dominant.  Depending on which ones are female I'll later decide which is best.

Sadly to say, all four of the AKs were male.  It's my fault for only germinating four...they'll have to wait until the next crop...oh well.

cinderella88.GIF (13601 bytes)Cinderella 88 seedling at four weeks.  Seeds obtained directly from Brothers Grimm.   The Cinderella 88 strain is definitely awesome.  I germinated four seeds and all have the same characteristics...hardly any variation.  This is a sign of a pretty stable strain.  I also identified 3 females from pre-flowers....not bad at all.   It's nice to see a plant in the garden that looks different from the standard indica.

harvest.GIF (9098 bytes)A harvest from six Super Skunk plants curing in jars.  You are looking at 7.3oz of dried bud.  The smell is fruity and very pungent. harvest2.GIF (12017 bytes)Super Skunk buds on screens for the final dry after hang drying for 4 days.  While on the screens the buds are checked every couple hours for over drying.  Once they are crispy the buds go into the jars for curing.  After the buds have been curing for a day the extra moisture in the stems have made the bud moist again and need to be placed on the screen once again.  After a few hours on the screen the buds are ready for storage.   I'm always checking for mold through the entire drying process.
c88-ak47-3.GIF (10464 bytes) Well the sexing of all my new seedling is finished.  I ended up with 3 Cinderella mothers and all male AK- 47 plants.  I already started the clones for my next garden which consists of eleven Cinderella 88's and nine Super Skunks.
Special thanks to everyone at the Weedbase.   All this work was made possible with the help of everyone there.  If anyone ever needs any info on growing, take it to the weedbase or use the search engine at the weedbase....thanks Shabang.
